The rich keep getting richer and the middle class and poor are getting left in the ditch.
I say raise taxes on the wealthy as proposed. Even 1 percent will go a long way and keep working families working, students educated and mouths feed.
Tell me, what is wrong with that?

Like to hear anyone's take on other potential candidates for this seat come primary time. How much affect yesterday's Political Insider article will have on Stout as he runs for the primary seat?

While I think HB 122 is a step in the right direction. I wish the original bill was passed instead of the committee substitute. How many counties don't keep their records on computers? I bet the answer is zero. I don't believe is would have taken the counties any more than 15 minutes a month to create expense and revenues reports. I bet they already create those reports for their commisioners. I know, I used to get them. The short one page summary and the one inch notebook version. Good Job Rep Lindsey on getting at least this passed in the house and having ACCG and GMA agree with it.

About 3% of the workforce makes minimum wage. So, no, there aren't that many people making minimum wage.

If you don't think there are a lot of people working minimum wage, you are out of check with reality.

Those who are making minimum wage barely make enough to support themselves, and it's certainly not enough to support a family. And it doesn't take into account cost of living, which varies regionally.

Current minimum wage policy is weak and needs to be improved. This bill is a good step!
