As mentioned on Wednesday night, the legislature is taking a two week break (actually, 2 1/2 weeks) to deal with the FY 2011 budget. They’ll reconvene on March 9th.

Looks like there will be a vote on the floor this week:
Senate budget writers largely agreed with an amended 2010 state budget that passed the House last week, but made several changes that will require negotiations nonetheless.

The amended FY 2010 budget cleared the House this morning by a vote of 122 to 44 (an unusually high number of “no” votes for the budget).
The budget now goes to the Senate Appropriations Committee, which is chaired by Sen. Jack Hill.
