A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 10 of Title 17 of the O.C.G.A., relating to the procedure for sentencing and imposition of punishment, so as to repeal provisions allowing review of sentences of imprisonment for a period exceeding 12 years by a three-judge panel, to provide for the disposition of cases currently under review or in the pipeline for review, to provide duties and responsibilities of the president of The Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia with respect to abolishing the three-judge panel; to amend Code Section 15-6-77 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to fees in superior court, so as to correct a cross-reference; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
