A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 47-2-244 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to optional benefits available to appellate court judges, notice of election of benefits, eligibility for benefits, disability benefits, and survivors benefits, so as to provide for benefits for appellate court judges who are appointed or elected on or after July 1, 2008; to provide for an option for sitting judges; to provide conditions for an effective date and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
