A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 47-2-334 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to membership in the Employees’ Retirement System of Georgia for persons employed on or after July 1, 1982, service retirement allowance, calculation, employee membership contributions, employer contributions, optional membership, conditions, and construction of provisions, so as to provide that certain members subject to the provisions of such retirement system with at least 34 years of service shall be eligible to retire forthwith regardless of age and, upon retirement, shall be paid the allowance which would have been payable upon service retirement at the age of 65 had he or she continued in service; to provide conditions for an effective date and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
